• Making Membranes in India for the World
Ultrafiltration (UF)

Overview

Ultrafiltration (UF) membranes have pore sizes ranging from 0.1 to 0.001 microns, allowing them to effectively remove bacteria, viruses, colloids, polysaccharides, proteins and large organic molecules while allowing water and most dissolved salts to pass through.

Adimem’s Ultrafiltration membranes are designed for reliable and efficient separation of suspended solids, bacteria, viruses, and macromolecules across a wide range of industries. We offer UF membranes in Hollow Fibre (FYBRIN™ Series), Spiral Wound (FLUXA™ Series), and Tubular (TUBIONIQ™ Series) formats using PVDF and PES materials—each tailored for performance, durability, and cleanability.

  • FYBRIN™ UF Series (Hollow Fibre UF)

Adimem’s FYBRIN™ series are high-flux hydrophilic hollow fibre UF membranes with excellent fouling resistance, ideal for wastewater treatment, reuse, and bioprocessing. These are available in two material choice offerings- PVDF and PES.

Key Benefits of FYBRIN™ UF Membranes

  • High surface area for compact installations
  • Reinforced structure for durability and aeration cycles
  • Excellent for MBRs, STPs, and industrial tertiary reuse
  • Available in both out-to-in and in-to-out configurations
  • Good fouling resistance and easy backwashing
  • Long membrane life and robust against fluctuating loads

  • FLUXA™ UF series (Spiral Wound UF)

Adimem’s FLUXA™ UF series consists of PVDF and PES spiral wound UF membranes. Our stringent quality standards in manufacturing, ensures membranes have precise MWCO control, making them ideal for specialised separation applications. Available in sanitary or industrial outerwraps with both normal and heat sanitisable options. We also offer UPVC and SS housings for these FLUXA™ UF elements.

  • AdiShell™- UPVC housings for FLUXA™ UF

For FLUXA™ UF, which is used predominantly for a low pressure application, we offer AdiShell™ UPVC housing. These are a cost effective alternative to traditional FRP or stainless steel housings that are predominantly used for high pressure RO/NF applications. AdiShell™ allows users to upgrade or change membrane elements without replacing the housing- reducing both CAPEx and downtime.

Key Benefits of FLUXA™ UF Membranes

  • Precise separation from 4 kDa to 300 kDa MWCO
  • High flux and stable performance across a range of feed streams
  • Suitable for dairy, food & beverage, biotech, and industrial reuse
  • Compact spiral wound format for scalable system design
  • Excellent chemical resistance and compatible with CIP
  • Available in both FRP and sanitary outerwrap options
  • Heat sanitisable option also available

  • TUBIONIQ™ UF Series (Tubular UF)

Adimem’s TUBIONIQ™ UF membranes are PVDF tubular membranes, designed for high-solid and viscous feed streams. Easy to clean and ideal for challenging separations.
